Who We Are
PulseMap ("we", "us", "our") is operated by PulseMap, headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. We provide real-time crowd intelligence via the PulseMap mobile app, available on iOS and Android at pulsemapapp.us. Contact: hello@pulsemapapp.us
Data We Collect
- Account: Email address and optional display name when you create an account. Account creation is optional — you may browse without signing in.
- Location (GPS): Your precise location, read only while the app is open in the foreground, to show nearby crowd levels. We never read location in the background or when the app is closed.
- Crowd reports: If you voluntarily submit a crowd level, check in, or post a note, that content is stored and attributed to your anonymous user ID.
- App activity: Saved places, alerts you create, and a daily AI message count (for free-tier limits).
- Push token: If you allow notifications, your device push token is stored to deliver alerts you set up.
- Advertising identifiers: If ads are enabled on the free tier, the ad network may use the platform advertising identifier to serve and measure ads. You can reset or limit ad tracking in your device settings.
- Technical data: App version, OS version, and crash logs for debugging only.
